The Environment
The construction industry is on the front line of environmental impact with the majority of our clients insisting on aiming for BREEAM. Our awareness of this is always at the forefront when entering into any stage of the construction process, from planning, design, construction, through to final handover.
Environmental impact is driven by people. Our people at Barton are trained and encouraged to be aware at all times of the effect their operations will have on the environment. By careful planning we manage this risk to controllable levels, ensuring our operations have minimum impact and meet legal requirements.
Following an energy audit by The Carbon Trust one of our key objectives is to reduce our energy consumption by 10% within the next 5 years.
