Restoration

Barton have been involved in preserving and enhancing the use of land since our contract ploughing activities began in 1941. In addition to the work we have done on our own managed sites we have built a reputation for the restoration and improvement of land for a wide variety of clients and situations.

Clients range from private estate owners to major quarrying enterprises and many of these are regular customers, who come back to us for each phase of development as it is required over many years.

Restoration projects include creating new land forms and usage such as forest, pasturage and arable land. Some of our work has involved the creation of landscaping to country andĀ leisureĀ parks and estates. We have been involved in a large number of biodiversity and nature reserve creation projects. Where land is to be turned to crop production or pasturage, we can work with landowners to ameliorate the land suitably for it’s future use.

Environmental

In every case we aim to satisfy the needs of the community and the environment whilst working alongside stakeholders such as the Environment Agency, English Nature, RSPB, Wildlife Trusts, Local Planning Departments and others. As a responsible business, in line with Company Policy when we undertake a project we do so by minimising our impact on the environment.
